Behavior and Personality
Relationship to Wizards
Nightmare dragons have a bad reputation and are generally feared by wizards.
They have been known for as long as there have been dream journals.
Origin of Name
Nightmara dragons are known for their bad reputation of giving people nightmares. They were just simply called "Living Nightmares" in the past, as the fact they were Morphians allowed them to shift in about any shape--as long as it was scary. They were never thought to be dragons until Tober Gelndun found out about their powerful magic. They were then called "Nightmare Dragons".
Apart from their Oneiromancy and Morpheomancy, nightmare dragons possess some Mælstromancy too, as well as Erebomancy, Necromancy and Phantasmancy. This dragon is yet another reason why dark magic is still feared by some.
