- Gleaming crystals, glimmering coins, sparkling jewels - the loot dragon is drawn to every sort of shiny bauble. Most precious of all to this dragon, however, are gems. Folks were a little worried about letting a dragon toss a powerful magic gem around, so the wizards designed a special, magic-free gem just for this dragon. All the fun of a magic gem, with none of the explosive mishaps.
- —Nogard's description of the loot dragon in The Book of Dragons
Loot dragons have a sharp and hard ruby skin.
Loot dragons have the highest magical resistance ever recorded, it trumps even the magical resistance of Kairos and Gaia. This means that there are no magical spell and/or breath attacks that can harm a loot dragon.
Behavior and Personality
Relationship to Wizards
Loot dragons generally distrust of wizards but if you give them a gem, they will begin to like you. In the past, loot dragons were illegaly hunted down for the gems they held, as they were used in the Bang-Boom games. Now they have become an endangered species. Loot dragons will attack anyone who comes close to their treasure without permission. DDLA has ranked them as 3.

Origin of Name
Loot dragons can give control over Argentomancy to a bonded wizard. However, their magical resistance makes this control minor and prevents the dragons from using magic themselves.
