- Valefolk almost equivocally agree that the bubble dragon is one of the cutest dragons ever discovered. In fact, it's so cute, grown witches and wizards will find themselves helpless to do anything more than babble in baby-talk every time they encounter one of these adorable creatures. There's even a name for the phenomenon: Bubble Babble!
- —Nogard's description of the bubble dragon in The Book of Dragons
The Bubble Dragon is a rare golden hybrid of the Air and Water elements. It's main element is Air.
Appearance
The bubble dragon is very round and plump in body shape, consisting mostly of a spherical, slightly iridescent light blue body, with a short tail and four stubby legs. Its eyes are very large. It has two nubby horns on its forehead, which are orange with shiny green stripes. The dragon also has a pair of "wings", which actually consist of small wing arms and a pair of inflatable air bladders, much more iridescent than the main body, which allow the dragon to hover in the air when inflated. They retract into the wing arms when not in use, but are usually at least somewhat inflated. The dragon can also inflate its body to a degree, but not as much as its wings.
Abilities
Weapons
Bubble dragons have no weapons.
Defenses
The bubble dragon is effectively helpless in battle, but they protect themselves using their cuteness. They are so cute that they are nearly impossible to attack. In wizards, their cuteness causes Bubble Babble.
It is thought that their cuteness may be magically enhanced. Bubble dragons are currently being studied to see if they may have a special kind of dragon-specific magic relating to extreme cuteness. Others theorize that they have either control over Psychomancy or Oneiromancy, but they were discovered so recently that not much information is available yet.
Other Abilities
TBA
Breath Weapon
Bubble dragons breath a barrage of hard bubbles.
Weaknesses
If a bubble dragon's air bladders are popped while it is flying, it will fall from the sky. (However, they will grow back fairly quickly if the bubble dragon survives.) Bubble dragons are slow fliers anyway, capable only of floating placidly along.

Relationship to Wizards
Wizards coming near bubble dragons get symptoms of Bubble Babble, making communication with these dragons or other nearby creatures very difficult. Bubble dragons don't seem to have any bad intentions though.
DDLA has given them rank 1.

Breeding
Bubble dragons can be breed from any two dragons which at least contain the Air and Water elements but they are much rarer than fog or rain dragons.
Habitats
Bubble dragons will happily live in any Water or Air habitats. They also like Omnitats but as long as they are sharing the habitat with any thorn, bramble, or bearded dragons.
